A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Williamsburg, VA, to support general business practice areas. This role offers the opportunity to counsel business owners, investors, and organizations on a wide range of business and transactional matters, including forming new ventures, negotiating contracts, and advising on mergers and acquisitions.

Duties

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and corporate documents.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions from due diligence to closing.
• Advise on corporate governance, business formation, and succession planning.
• Research and analyze state and federal laws affecting corporate matters.
• Guide clients through licensing, certification, and reimbursement issues.
• Assist with regulatory and licensing compliance across diverse industries.
• Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to clients.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership (or eligibility) in the Virginia Bar.
• 3+ years of experience in corporate, business, or transactional law preferred.
• Strong interest in healthcare law is encouraged.
• Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Commitment to providing practical, business-minded solutions.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership (or eligibility) in the Virginia Bar.
