Duties: Meet physical and sensory requirements stated below, and be able to work in the described environment. Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that improve the customer experience, enhance work flow, and/or improve the work environment of the legal department. Effectively manage and develop in-house attorneys and paralegals, and select and manage outside counsel Draft, review and negotiate various types of transactional documents including purchase and sale agreements, operations transfer agreements, leases and financing documents, managed care agreements, and others. Negotiate and successfully close purchase and sale agreements, leases, and other transactions. Prepare corporate documents. Research, analyze and advise Chief Legal Officer and other members of senior management regarding laws and regulations affecting the organization’s business initiatives including healthcare provider systems. Interact with the organization’s health care facilities and senior management as a liaison for the legal department. Other special projects and duties, as assigned.
