Job Title: Personal Injury Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm located in Woodland Hills, CA, is seeking a skilled Personal Injury Attorney to join their growing team. The role involves managing personal injury cases, ranging from car accidents and slip-and-fall incidents to dog bites and more. The ideal candidate will have experience in legal drafting, litigation, and working independently while also managing a team. As part of the team, the attorney will have the opportunity to take on diverse legal challenges, with some involvement in non-personal injury cases, such as real estate and business litigation.

Duties:

• Investigate and evaluate new personal injury cases
• Draft legal documents, including discovery responses, meet-and-confer letters, and motions
• Take and defend depositions
• Communicate regularly with clients and opposing counsel
• Draft and argue motions
• Oversee and collaborate with a litigation team
• Handle car, bike, motorcycle accidents, trip-and-fall cases, dog bites, and other personal injury matters
• Assist with non-PI legal matters, such as business and real estate litigation, when needed

Requirements:

• Must be a licensed attorney in good standing
• Experience in personal injury law
• Proven ability to manage caseloads and independently handle litigation tasks
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients
• Strong communication, negotiation, and legal drafting skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar License in California

Skills:

• Legal research and writing
• Personal injury litigation experience
• Deposition and motion practice
• Client management and communication
• Ability to handle a diverse range of legal issues, including personal injury and other civil litigation

Job Location:

• Woodland Hills, CA (Hybrid Work: Office attendance required several days a week)
