Duties

• Conduct client intake interviews and evaluate potential claims
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence, and oversee fact development
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses
• Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and witnesses
• Manage case files, monitor deadlines, and maintain calendaring systems
• Negotiate settlements with defense counsel and insurance carriers
• Prepare cases for trial, including drafting trial briefs and exhibits
• Represent clients at mediations, hearings, and in court appearances
• Supervise paralegals and coordinate with external experts

Requirements

• 3 years of experience handling plaintiff-side personal injury litigation
• Active admission to the Pennsylvania Bar (Johnstown jurisdiction)
• Proven track record of managing a caseload from intake through resolution
• Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and courtroom presentation skills
• Strong organizational ability and attention to procedural deadlines
• Commitment to client service and ethical practice

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Psychology, Criminal Justice, Communications) preferred

Certifications

• Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar
• Certification in mediation or alternative dispute resolution considered an asset
