Job Overview:
A Fort Myers, FL-based law firm is seeking a skilled Employment Law Attorney to join its expanding team dedicated to employee rights. The role focuses on advocating for individuals experiencing workplace injustices, including discrimination, wage violations, harassment, and wrongful termination. The position involves handling cases through all phases- pre-litigation, discovery, trial, and settlement- across both administrative forums and courts. Ideal candidates bring a blend of litigation experience, legal research strength, and a deep commitment to employee advocacy.

Duties:

• Represent employees in claims involving workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage violations

• Manage cases from intake through final resolution, including trial when necessary

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and correspondence

• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations

• Communicate regularly with clients and keep them informed of case developments

• Collaborate with team members and support staff on case strategy and litigation management

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in the State of Florida

• At least 2 years of experience in employment law or general litigation with a demonstrated interest in employee rights

• Federal court litigation experience strongly preferred

• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively

• Commitment to client advocacy and workplace fairness

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida Bar

Skills:

• Strong legal research and analytical capabilities

• Exceptional writing and oral advocacy skills

• Proficiency in managing deadlines and litigation workflow

Job Location:

• Fort Myers, FL

• On-site position in a professional office setting

• Standard business hours: Monday to Friday, with flexible start time between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM
