Collections Coordinator

The candidate will contact clients regarding past-due Accounts Receivable. Perform account reconciliations. Manage client negotiations in payment of invoices. Handle client bankruptcy filings. Forward invoices, payment histories, and other reports as requested by clients. Document activity by updating the collections database with details of attorney and client communications. Work with the firm’s Billing Department to ensure bills are rendered according to client requirements. Monitor and respond to the accounts receivable hotline and e-mail box for incoming requests. Follow up on aging reports with attorneys. Other duties as assigned. Should have BA/BS in finance or related field. Should have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; be a keen listener with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong customer service skills and sound business judgment. Ability to work “hands-on” as required. Proficiency in Excel and Word required.
