A law firm seeks an experienced Private Client International Trusts & Estates Planning Associate to join their team in any of their offices. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in international estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and companies, with a focus on cross-border tax planning and compliance.

Duties

• Advise U.S. and non-U.S. taxpayers on wealth management structures accommodating multi-jurisdictional tax and legal considerations.
• Engage in planning for foreign trusts, pre-immigration, and expatriation.
• Assist with planning for the purchase of U.S. property by non-U.S. persons.
• Ensure compliance with tax and reporting obligations for overseas interests.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in sophisticated international estate planning matters.
• Excellent technical, professional, and client service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication and advocacy skills.
• Team-oriented with an emphasis on collaboration.
• Effective problem-solving capabilities and ability to work independently.
• Member in good standing in the jurisdiction you plan to practice.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
