Job Overview: A law firm based in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel with extensive experience in litigation, particularly in product liability and complex commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, research, and communication skills and a science background. The role will involve supervising associates, collaborating with experts, drafting legal documents, and contributing to case strategy.

Duties:

  • Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, and third parties verbally and in writing.
  • Supervise associates and guide on legal matters.
  • Collaborate with experts to develop case strategies.
  • Assist with fact development and participate in depositions.
  • Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
  • Produce deliverables promptly and respond to correspondence efficiently.
  • Foster positive work relationships and comply with firm policies.
  • Engage in various activities, including digital/virtual conference calls and meetings.
  • Perform additional duties or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • J.D. degree from a nationally recognized law school.
  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Background in science (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation.
  • Direct experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm.
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Exceptional multitasking and prioritization abilities.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.

Education/Certifications:

  • J.D. degree
  • Bar Admission
  • Science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology) preferred
