Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Mid-Level Litigation Associate to join its team in Chicago, Illinois, or Denver, Colorado. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of commercial litigation experience, including drafting legal documents and preparing for trial. This role offers a flexible hybrid work schedule and the opportunity for significant client interaction and professional growth.

Duties

• Research and write legal memoranda.
• Draft complaints, motions, and written discovery.
• Respond to discovery, including e-discovery matters.
• Take depositions and prepare for trial.
• Engage in direct client interaction and business development.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of litigation experience.
• Experience in commercial, real estate, employment, UCC, and construction litigation.
• Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Federal or state clerkship is a plus.
• Licensed in Illinois or eligible for Illinois bar admission.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois or eligible for admission.
