With Tyson’s 1 2 Industrial Maintenance Training Program participants start a career as a full-time maintenance employee earning up to $23.00 per hour plus benefits, while attending Industrial Maintenance Training classes at Hawkeye Community College. No prior maintenance experience needed. Just need a desire to succeed!!

How it Works

Participants attend classes at Hawkeye Community College 4 days a week, 6 hours a day Monday-Thursday; attend one- 4-hour study session on-site at Tyson and work one 12-hour shift in maintenance. Work for Tyson for 2 years after graduating and Tyson pays your educational costs. Benefits package includes medical, dental, life and disability insurance, a company matching 401K retirement program and matching stock purchase program, paid vacation, paid sick time, tuition reimbursement and more. Participants earn a certificate in Industrial Maintenance which can be applied towards earning an AA or bachelor’s degree. Classes start June 1, 2022.

Requirements:

Resume is required and must contain contact information, related work experience/history, skills, and educational information. High school diploma or equivalent required. Preference given to first time new hires
