Legal Assistant - Commercial Litigation
The candidate will handle duties that include: Electronic filing in state and federal courts as needed; Manage assigned attorneys’ calendars, dockets, and appointments; Maintain and complete attorney time entry and billing; Maintain client files in DMS (Netdocs) as well as the physical file; Screen incoming calls and correspondence and respond as necessary; Transcribe dictation and compose and prepare confidential correspondence, reports, and other complex litigation documents; Provide back-up support to other legal assistants as assigned or needed; Maintain confidentiality of all firm and client matters. Must have 5+ years’ experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant. Should have working knowledge and experience of state and federal court e-filing procedures, e-discovery, and trial preparation. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with attorneys, staff, and clients. High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
