Duties

• Draft and prepare legal documents for court filing, including FDCPA Letters, Demand Letters, Notices of Sale, and Sheriff's Deeds.
• Represent client interests and provide strategic legal counsel on various issues.
• Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Review court alerts and provide compliance guidance promptly.
• Collaborate with attorneys, legal assistants, support staff, and external vendors.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from a law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Michigan and in good standing.
• 3-5+ years of experience in foreclosure, bankruptcy, title, collections, or creditors' rights.
• Knowledge of Michigan court procedures and filing requirements.
• Preferred experience in in-house compliance, doc review, and/or litigation.
• Experience with CaseAware or similar case management systems preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) required.

Certifications

• Admission to the State Bar of Michigan.
