A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Columbus, GA. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team dedicated to family law, providing exceptional client service and making a meaningful impact.

Duties

• Manage large caseloads from inception through closing.
• Take or monitor statements of clients or third parties effectively.
• Handle day-to-day decision-making independently on a case-by-case basis.
• Consult regularly with clients and third parties to advance cases to settlement.
• Develop strategic approaches and provide leadership to paralegals and legal assistants.
• Collaborate with team members of varying experience levels.
• Conduct monthly case reviews and demand reviews with clients.
• Oversee settlement disbursements and resolve subrogation claims and liens.
• Build client cases, ensuring all notes and data are captured in the Case Management System.
• Analyze case-specific legal issues and documentation.
• Maintain excellent rapport with clients through consistent communication and advisement.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in the state(s) of employment.
• Good standing with the Georgia Bar Association.
• Family Law experience preferred.
• Bi-lingual skills strongly preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Georgia.
