General Liability/Professional Liability Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a General Liability/Professional Liability Associate Attorney with excellent writing, oral advocacy skills, and significant experience in discovery and law and motion practice. The ideal candidate will assist clients in resolving legal conflicts related to general and professional liability matters, attend court hearings, conduct legal research, and work collaboratively with senior attorneys to provide legal advice.

Duties:

• Assist clients in determining legal solutions for general and professional liability matters.
• Attend court hearings and other legal proceedings, performing legal research, and providing legal advice under the guidance of senior attorneys.
• Prepare various legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Communicate effectively with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure efficient case handling.
• Organize case files to ensure accessibility and update relevant parties on case developments.
• Collaborate with partners and other attorneys to meet client needs and expand the client base.
• Maintain active involvement with the American Bar Association (ABA) and uphold good standing as a member.

Requirements:

• Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Significant experience in discovery and law and motion practice.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work with multiple clients simultaneously.
• Self-starter attitude with the ability to hit the ground running.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar and successful completion of the Bar exam.
• 5-6 years of experience representing design professionals and miscellaneous professionals in general and professional liability matters.
