A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a talented and driven Litigation Associate with a minimum of five years of experience to join its Houston office. Location:

• Houston, Texas

Duties:

• Manage a wide range of commercial litigation matters in both state and federal courts

• Conduct depositions, manage e-discovery, and oversee document review

• Prepare and argue motions

• Handle expert and fact witness discovery

• Collaborate with partners and clients to develop litigation strategy

• Draft pleadings, memoranda, and correspondence

• Attend court proceedings and arbitration hearings

• Engage in client-facing assignments and contribute to business development initiatives

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in general commercial litigation

• Some employment litigation experience is preferred.

• Experience with depositions, discovery disputes, motion practice, and expert witness preparation

• Strong client-relations skills and ability to interact with clients at all stages of litigation

• Proven ability to manage multiple matters under tight deadlines

• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Texas State Bar (or eligible to waive in)

Skills:

• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work

• Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take initiative

• Familiarity with employment litigation is a plus
