Corporate Counsel - Energy/Renewable Energy, Oil and Gas
The candidate will do central liaison for Project Logistics contract review and negotiation global. Work directly with Global Leadership of the Project Logistics group. Work with internal business owners to review and submit comments on RFP's and contracts being negotiated and liaise with regional counsel when required. Coordinate activity with approved legal processes for contract review as provided for under Contract Review Policy of North America Region General Counsel (Nyc RM-J). Interact with K+N's Compliance Officer to assure proper adherence to the K+N Code of Conduct and Government requirements of anti-trust and anti-corruption nature. Together with business owners, interact with insurance brokers, Nacora and Anchor Risk Services, to assess the need for procurement of additional insurance coverage for the individual client contract. Work with business owners to review contracts with subcontractors. Legal degree with admission in at least one US jurisdiction. Should have 5 years in Energy (Oil & Gas), Industrial Projects, Renewable Energy, or Marine Logistics. Experience in the shipping or logistics industry is preferred. Results-focused orientation, pragmatism, and intercultural sensitivity. Persuasive personality with a global mindset and a highly collaborative working style. Keen analytical skills, excellent networking abilities, and ability to identify critical issues that might be industry specific. Demonstrate the ability and assertiveness to lead colleagues to a common goal.
