															Staff Attorney
The candidate will focus primarily on litigation aimed at reforming systemic abuses experienced by farm workers in agricultural employment and addressing violations of law by federal agencies regarding immigration, labor, and occupational safety and health. Will also assist in policy advocacy. Maintains relationships with public interest legal services organizations, farmworker organizations and others collaborators; publishes analyses and reports; coordinates and conducts training; assists in media outreach; and supports the organization generally.  Litigation will usually be co-counseled collaboratively with public interest organizations or private law firms. Will collaborate with firm’s President, the Senior Staff Attorney, the Director of Health Policy Programs and other staff. Manage firm’s litigation docket. Seek out, evaluate, and in conjunction with firm's President, approve proposed new litigation that materially advances the organization’s mission. Ensure adherence to the highest standards of legal and professional ethics and of charitable organizations. Monitor and manage use of litigation capacity and resources, including dedicated funding sources, seeking adjustments as needed to ensure effective budgeting and optimize performance. Develop and ensure compliance with internal and external litigation records-keeping systems. Participate in day-to-day activities of the organization, including attending staff meetings (currently remotely), contributing to publications and social media, collaborating on non-litigation activities, and complying and with administrative and financial obligations.
