Duties

• Handle a variety of family law matters including divorce, custody disputes, support arrangements, post-judgment actions, non-dissolution issues, and domestic violence cases

• Engage in litigation, including drafting motions, preparing for trial, and representing clients in court

• Maintain and manage a full caseload with autonomy and accountability

• Draft legal documents with clarity, accuracy, and strategic thought

• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and courts

• Participate in collaborative case strategy development within a supportive legal team

• Stay informed on developments in family law and maintain professional excellence

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of focused experience in family law practice

• Strong litigation background, including courtroom experience and motion practice

• Capable of independently managing deadlines, court calendars, and client communications

• Demonstrated ability to approach family law cases with empathy, strategic insight, and practical problem-solving

• Must be a team player with a commitment to integrity, client service, and continuous learning

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of New Jersey

• Good standing with the New Jersey Bar
