Legal Administrative Assistant
The candidate will work with the team to gather evidence supporting the presentation of demand letters for personal injury cases, speak with new Spanish-speaking clients, collect medical records and billing, input data into Filevine case management software, and assist the COO in the preparation of Settlement Statements. Be willing to take on any other necessary administrative tasks to help the firm run smoothly. Speak with all new Spanish-speaking clients and act as a liaison between client and attorney. Evidence gathering and data input- gather all updated records and billing, liens, input data into case management software summarizing the case for transfer to demand writer team member. Preparation of Settlement Statements at the end of each case. Preparation of closing letters. Must be able to prioritize tasks with demanding deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment. Some knowledge of legal software, case management, and docketing programs. At least 1-2 years of previous experience in a law firm setting performing administrative tasks. High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate’s degree is a plus. Candidates should have strong organizational skills and communication skills. Comfortable working with all Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of Filevine case management software is a plus but not required.
