A law firm seeks an associate with 2-5 years of commercial litigation experience to join its Los Angeles, CA office. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills, and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in handling complex, cross-border disputes.

Duties

• Develop strategies for complex commercial litigation, class actions, and regulatory investigations.
• Advise clients across various industries in all types of litigation.
• Draft briefs, pleadings, memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Participate in document and deposition discovery, trial preparation, and trial.
• Conduct legal research and analyze evidence to develop facts and strategy.
• Communicate with clients and participate in negotiations.
• Provide assistance to partners and senior lawyers.
• Supervise junior lawyers and support staff.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of commercial litigation experience, focusing on civil litigation.
• Strong academic record and intellectual curiosity.
• Excellent writing, research, and communication skills.
• Commercial and business awareness.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Client service focus and team player mentality.
• Fluency in English and admitted to the bar in good standing.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
