Primary Duties: The successful applicant will be responsible for representing the Idaho Transportation Department in civil litigation including eminent domain proceedings and other complex commercial litigation. The practice involves an extensive motion and trial practice in district court. The attorney will also provide day-to-day legal advice to department employees on a variety of legal issues, evaluate draft legislation and contracts, proposed administrative rules, and handle administrative appeals. The general areas of practice are property, construction, contract, and administrative law, which often involve constitutional and statutory interpretation.
