A law firm seeks a Trusts and Estates Attorney with 2-4 years of experience to join a developing practice group in Valley Stream, NY. This in-person role offers the opportunity to work within a well-established real estate law firm, providing comprehensive estate planning and administration services.

Duties

• Draft and implement estate plans, including wills and trusts.
• Assist clients with elder law and Medicaid planning.
• Advise on estate, gift, and transfer tax planning.
• Handle estate and trust administration, including probate.
• Prepare federal and New York estate and gift tax filings.
• Manage client relationships from inception to completion.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of trusts and estates experience required.
• Experience with irrevocable trusts and Medicaid planning required.
• Proficient in estate planning and administration drafting.
• Comfortable with technology and computer systems.
• Experience with New York probate procedures and Surrogate's Court practice.
• Familiarity with federal and New York estate and gift tax matters.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters.
• Interest in business development and practice growth.
• Active admission to the New York Bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York Bar.
