A law firm seeks a Spanish-fluent midlevel associate with project finance experience to join their LATAM Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance practice in Miami, FL. The candidate should possess strong academic credentials and a genuine interest in project financings within the power and infrastructure sectors.

Duties

• Manage deal teams and processes across practice areas and geographic locations.
• Conduct research and draft memoranda based on client needs.
• Manage and conduct due diligence.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, and other legal teams.
• Provide direct assistance to senior lawyers on various legal matters.
• Counsel clients on a wide range of financing transactions.
• Advise on the financing and restructuring of renewable energy facilities.
• Mentor and train junior team members.

Requirements

• At least three years of law firm project finance experience.
• Licensed, or eligible to become licensed, to practice law in New York.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Strong academic record and intellectual curiosity.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent drafting skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree (LLM or foreign equivalent) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New York or eligibility to obtain licensure.
