Job Overview:
A respected law firm is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join its Business and Employment Practice Group in Cleveland, Ohio. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated attorney ready to take on a leadership role in growing the group’s footprint while contributing to a team of skilled trial lawyers. The role offers hands-on litigation responsibilities, as well as opportunities to advise business clients on employment and regulatory matters.

Duties:
Represent clients in civil litigation matters in both state and federal courts
Manage employment law cases including discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and workplace investigations
Handle business litigation matters involving contract disputes, trade secret violations, non-compete agreements, and shareholder/partner conflicts
Conduct all phases of discovery, including depositions and expert witness coordination
Draft and argue motions, manage trial preparation, and participate in hearings
Provide legal counsel to business clients on risk management, compliance, and internal policies
Contribute to the strategic development and expansion of the firm’s Business and Employment Practice Group
Collaborate with other attorneys across the firm to deliver comprehensive legal services
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation experience in state and federal courts
Prior experience with employment and business litigation matters
Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and meet strict deadlines
Strong background in motion practice and courtroom advocacy
Ability to advise corporate clients on regulatory and compliance matters
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio (required)
Licensure in Michigan (strongly preferred)
Skills:
Excellent legal research and writing skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective oral advocacy and courtroom presence
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
