CCOR Compliance Vice President - Acquisitions and Strategic Investments
The candidate will be maintaining oversight of the firm’s compliance, conduct and operational risk management activities within Firm's Risk Management and Compliance Function. Managing the firm’s compliance, conduct, and operational risk. CCOR establishes policies and standards which set forth the requirements for the LOBs and Corporate Functions regarding the management of compliance, conduct, and operational risk and enables oversight and independent assessment over compliance, conduct and operational risks inherent within the firm’s activities. Assessing and oversight of the execution of the CCOR activities within Corporate Functions CCOR focused on Acquisitions and Strategic Investments. Serving as primary point of contact for delivery of the Firm’s Compliance & Operational Risk Program to the Acquisitions and Strategic Investments function. Coordinating with colleagues in Legal and Compliance on industry developments and rulemaking, and keeping senior management informed of relevant developments. Advising on new products/new business initiatives. Assisting in regulatory reviews, audits, exams and inquiries related to group's activities. Providing real-time guidance on applicability of regulatory or corporate policies to each group arising from current and prospective transactions. Performing independent assessment(s) of operational risks leveraging CCOR framework (e.g. performing monitoring and testing activities and Independent Risk Management Assessments). Partnering with 1st LOD and CCOR to strengthen the operational risk environment of the firm using analytics and independent challenge(s). Conducting regular training on the Firm's policies and procedures. Bachelor's degree is required. Business Administration or related discipline or J.D. is preferred. Should preferably have 7+ years of experience in financial institution; specific experience in Risk Management, Compliance or Legal or related area covering Mergers, Acquisitions and Strategic Investment.
