Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in legal matters related to nursing homes and assisted living facilities, including litigation and arbitration.
• Provide legal advice on regulatory compliance, patient rights, and facility operations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting elder care facilities.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, clients, and stakeholders to develop legal strategies and solutions.
• Prepare and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.
• Advocate on behalf of clients in court and administrative hearings.
• Advise facilities on risk management and liability prevention strategies.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local nursing homes and assisted living facilities regulations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida State Bar or eligibility for admission.
• Experience in a legal role focusing on nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or similar areas.
• Proven track record of handling complex legal cases related to elder care.
• Strong understanding of relevant federal and state laws and regulations.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.
