Legal Counsel
The candidate will support and provide legal advice to the Department and its Divisions, which include the Children's Division, the Family Support Division, and the Division of Youth Services. Maintain a diverse caseload, including Juvenile Court, Circuit Court, and Administrative Hearing cases. Perform case analysis, issue spotting, time/calendar management, and caseload organization. Work with other team members, such as investigators and social workers. Should have a Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution and be a member of the Missouri Bar. Experience in litigation and a background in juvenile, family, and administrative law is preferred. Excellent research and writing skills are required.
