Technology Lead Counsel

The candidate will provide effective and strategic legal and regulatory advice for the technology organization and related businesses and functions. Will work with and advise IT professionals, engineers, and privacy and information security professionals on compliance with U.S. federal, state, and international laws and regulations related to communication technology, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, big data, information technology, global server technology, database architecture, and information networks. Provide U.S. and non-U.S. technology subject-matter expertise in the review of third-party technology-related contracts. Analyze U.S. and international laws, regulations, and corporate policies and standards related to record retention and archiving, cloud, artificial intelligence, privacy, information security, export and import laws, and information technology. Gather information in a fast-paced business environment, understand business needs and goals, detect legal issues and obstacles, identify legal solutions and alternatives, and succinctly and competently counsel and communicate with technology professionals and managers regarding legal risks, solutions, and alternatives. Advise the technology organization in new and ongoing initiatives in advanced technologies, oversight of third-party relationships, and in technology and transformation best practices at the most cost-effective speed to market, such as offshoring and global follow-the-sun operations. Provide direction, guidance, training, and resources to paralegals and/or applicable/relevant support staff.
