Duties

• Assist senior attorneys in managing criminal defense cases from start to resolution.

• Develop and execute defense strategies for clients facing criminal charges.

• Conduct legal research and draft persuasive motions, briefs, and other legal documents.

• Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings, including pretrial hearings, motions practice, and trials.

• Engage in negotiations with prosecutors to secure favorable outcomes.

• Provide legal counsel to clients, keeping them informed throughout their case.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Colorado.

• 1-4 years of experience in criminal law, ideally gained at a district attorney’s office, public defender’s office, or private defense firm.

• Strong litigation and trial advocacy skills.

• Excellent legal research and writing capabilities.

• Ability to manage multiple cases independently while collaborating with a legal team.

• Effective communication and analytical skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Colorado Bar membership.
