Job Overview

A law firm seeks a qualified Creditors' Rights Attorney to join its Alabama practice in Birmingham, AL. The successful candidate will support the firm's multi-state real estate and creditors' rights operations.

Duties

• Handle a significant volume of cases in creditors' rights.
• Resolve issues in discovery practice, depositions, and conflict resolution.
• Make court appearances and travel as required.
• Develop relationships to be viewed as a trusted partner and advisor.

Requirements

• Member in good standing of the Alabama State Bar.
• Licensed or able to obtain a license in Alabama federal district and bankruptcy courts.
• 8+ years of experience in mortgage foreclosure and collections.
• Familiarity with TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code preferred.
• Strong leadership, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to superior client support and judgment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar License in the state of Alabama (required).
• Multiple licenses a plus.
