A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney for their office in Richmond, VA.

Job Overview:

• Provide legal representation to clients in litigation matters, contributing to case strategy and execution.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to manage caseload and achieve favorable outcomes.
• Engage in legal research, document drafting, and courtroom appearances.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of litigation matters from inception to resolution.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on case-specific issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the judiciary.
• Assist in negotiation and settlement discussions.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff on case strategy and management.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate or better from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Virginia.
• 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in civil or commercial litigation.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Must be licensed to practice law in Virginia.

Skills:

• Litigation experience in state and federal courts.
