A respected law firm is seeking a qualified Local Government Attorney to join its Local Government Practice Group. This position offers the opportunity to support various public sector clients in their day-to-day legal operations. Duties
Provide legal counsel to municipalities, villages, cities, townships, park districts, school districts, and library districts.
Advise on day-to-day legal issues affecting local government operations.
Prepare and review legal documents, resolutions, and ordinances.
Attend and represent clients at board meetings and public hearings.
Assist in administrative and governance matters.
Collaborate with other attorneys in the Local Government Practice Group.
Requirements
Minimum of some experience in local government or municipal law.
Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and administrative skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Commitment to maintaining high professional and ethical standards.
Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Active Illinois Bar License (Required)
