A law firm seeks a Corporate Associate/Counsel to join its Corporate practice group in Charlotte, NC. This role involves representing both public and privately owned companies in various business matters, including commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance.

Duties

• Review, draft, and negotiate principal and ancillary agreements related to commercial transactions.
• Engage in a wide variety of corporate and commercial projects.
• Provide pragmatic counsel with extensive client contact.

Requirements

• Over three years of corporate transactional experience.
• Strong business background and ability to grasp business concepts quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to ask questions and learn.
• Desire to work in a team-oriented environment.

Education

• Law degree.

Certifications

• Eligibility for North Carolina Bar admission is preferred.

Skills

• Experience in mergers and acquisitions is welcome but not required.
