A law firm in Denver, CO is seeking an experienced Business Attorney with a strong background in corporate, employment, mergers/acquisitions, agreements, and real estate law. The ideal candidate will have a portable book of business and a passion for expanding their practice in diverse business areas. Intellectual property experience, specifically in trademark and copyright, is considered a valuable asset. Membership in the Colorado Bar is a mandatory requirement for this role.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in various areas of business law, including corporate, employment, mergers/acquisitions, agreements, and real estate matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, contracts, and agreements on behalf of clients.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure the client's interests are protected and aligned with applicable laws and regulations.
• Advise clients on legal strategies, risk management, and potential business opportunities.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing exceptional service and guidance.
• Handle dispute resolution, litigation, and other legal proceedings when necessary.
• Stay updated on changes in business law and regulations to provide clients with up-to-date advice.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm to enhance client services and support.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience practicing business law, with a focus on corporate, employment, mergers/acquisitions, agreements, and real estate law.
• Demonstrated success in building and maintaining a portable book of business.
• Strong desire and ability to further expand and diversify the business law practice.
• Experience in intellectual property law, particularly in trademarks and copyrights, is a valuable asset.
• Active membership in the Colorado Bar is mandatory.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the Colorado Bar.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Colorado Bar.

Skills:

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of business law, with a focus on corporate, employment, mergers/acquisitions, agreements, and real estate matters.
• Strong legal research and analysis skills.
• Exceptional negotiation and contract drafting skills.
• Effective communication and client relationship management abilities.
