A law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking a highly qualified Mergers and Acquisitions and Private Equity Associate Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in private M&A, minority equity investments (both investor and company-side), and general corporate representation. The role involves significant drafting responsibilities, leading complex due diligence processes, and deal management, including supervision of junior associates and collaboration with internal specialist teams.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation in mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and general corporate matters.
  • Take a lead role in drafting legal documents, including transaction agreements and corporate governance documents.
  • Lead and manage complex due diligence processes, ensuring thorough and accurate analysis of all relevant information.
  • Oversee and manage junior associates and internal specialist teams involved in deal execution.
  • Advise clients on legal matters related to private M&A, equity investments, and corporate representation.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an associate attorney.
  • Substantial experience in private M&A, minority equity investments on both the investor and company sides, and general corporate representation.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent communication and drafting skills.
  • Capable of managing significant drafting responsibilities and leading complex due diligence processes.
  • Ability to manage deal execution, including supervising junior associates and collaborating with internal specialist teams.
  • Admission (or eligibility for admission) to practice law in Massachusetts.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar or eligibility for admission.
