A prominent law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience in labor and employment law, including matters related to higher education. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and handle high-impact litigation and client advisory work. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience, legal writing skills, and a desire to work on complex labor disputes and legal issues in higher education.

Represent clients in traditional labor and employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour claims, and wrongful termination cases.
Handle Class Action/PAGA litigation.
Advise higher education institutions on Title IX compliance, student conduct matters, and other relevant regulations.
Draft and review contracts, policies, and employee handbooks.
Provide counsel on workplace investigations, employee relations, and compliance with federal and state employment laws.
Participate in mediations, depositions, hearings before administrative agencies, and court proceedings.
Conduct legal research and prepare detailed memoranda and briefs.
2-4 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a preference for candidates with exposure to higher education law.
Strong litigation and legal writing skills.
Experience drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team while also managing individual cases.
Demonstrated interest in staying current with evolving labor laws, higher education regulations, and employment policies.
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Admission to the California State Bar is required.
Strong litigation, negotiation, and legal writing abilities.
Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
Ability to manage a caseload and handle multiple tasks effectively.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Collaborative team player with the ability to handle matters independently.
