Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Financial Services Litigation Attorney to join its Los Angeles, California office. This role offers an opportunity to develop litigation skills in a dynamic environment, representing financial institutions. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload and engage in various litigation activities.

Duties

  • Manage case files and conduct motion practice.
  • Participate in courtroom proceedings and depositions.
  • Engage in alternative dispute resolution and trial preparation.
  • Draft and analyze pleadings and motions.
  • Conduct e-discovery and fact development.
  • Appear in state and federal courts for pre-trial matters.

Requirements

  • Experience in litigation, preferably in financial services.
  • Strong writing and oral advocacy skills.
  • Judicial clerkship experience is a plus.
  • Active California license required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • California Bar admission.

Skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA, UCC, EFTA, TILA, and UCL/UDAP.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
