Junior Litigation - Class Actions Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a highly motivated Junior Attorney with class action experience to join its team. This role will primarily focus on handling plaintiff-side class action matters. The ideal candidate will be proactive, self-driven, and creative, with strong writing, research, and analytical skills. Experience with pleading, motion, and discovery practice is required. The position offers the opportunity to work remotely, gaining exposure to high-impact litigation.

Location:

• New York City, NY

Duties:

• Handle plaintiff-side class action litigation from inception to resolution
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
• Conduct legal research and analysis for complex class action cases
• Assist in case strategy development and execution
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to achieve case objectives
• Prepare for and participate in hearings and depositions
• Manage and organize case documents and discovery materials
• Stay up-to-date on relevant legal developments and class action case law

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in class action litigation
• Proficiency in drafting and handling pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload
• Familiarity with BIPA/GIPA (preferred)
• Illinois Bar admission is a plus, but not required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar Admission (State Bar of Illinois is a plus)

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
• Ability to manage complex litigation matters
• Proficiency in handling class action litigation procedures
