A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Honolulu, HI, with 2-6 years of experience to join its Labor and Employment section. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in both advocacy and client advising, working initially with senior counsel and potentially managing complex workplace issues.

Duties

• Lead internal investigations into workplace misconduct, including harassment and discrimination.
• Conduct interviews and analyze evidence to assess credibility.
• Prepare comprehensive investigative reports with strategic recommendations.
• Counsel clients on compliance with employment laws and standards.
• Represent management in employment litigation in State and Federal courts.
• Defend clients in administrative proceedings before relevant boards and commissions.
• Assist in labor relations, including collective bargaining and grievance arbitrations.
• Draft motions, manage discovery, and conduct depositions in litigation matters.

Requirements

• Active member of the Hawaii State Bar Association in good standing.
• 2-6 years of legal experience, preferably in investigations or management-side litigation.
• Exceptional judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Hawaii State Bar Association membership.
