A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Senior Litigation & Claims Management Attorney to join its Houston office. This role supports a large, international logistics services provider and focuses on managing a high-volume, multijurisdictional caseload, including commercial transportation litigation and claims oversight. The ideal candidate is a strategic, detail-oriented litigator with a strong background in regulatory compliance, transportation law, and litigation coordination across multiple jurisdictions. This position offers hybrid flexibility and a high level of autonomy.
Houston, Texas
Independently manage a national litigation caseload from inception through resolution
Oversee and execute litigation strategy for claims across multiple jurisdictions
Manage a nationwide liability claims program for a logistics services client
Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and industry-specific regulations
Conduct risk assessments and proactively advise on litigation avoidance strategies
Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and client reports
Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations
Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and internal teams across different offices
Communicate regularly with client representatives, including in-house counsel
5–15 years of litigation experience in general casualty, commercial, government, or administrative law
Experience in transportation, logistics, trucking, or related regulatory matters preferred
Previous experience overseeing or managing a national claims program preferred
Familiarity with legal issues in e-commerce or the gig economy is a plus
Client advisory experience is preferred
Prior exposure to eDiscovery and litigation technology tools
Ability to handle complex matters across state lines with minimal supervision
Legal project and process management experience desirable
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state
Active and in good standing with applicable state bar(s)
Advanced legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
Strong interpersonal and client communication abilities
Excellent strategic thinking and litigation planning
Capable of managing large volumes of complex casework
High proficiency in legal technologies and document management systems
Ability to thrive in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
