Associate Counsel
The candidate will do trading documentation needs of Columbia Threadneedle and Ameriprise, including ISDAs and related master confirmation agreements and trade confirmations, collateral control agreements, futures clearing agreements, listed options agreements, OTC clearing agreements, MSFTAs, prime brokerage agreements and master repurchase agreements. Legal and regulatory needs of a variety of asset management clients, including registered investment companies, private investment funds, insurance companies, collective funds, and separately managed accounts. Various asset management products and initiatives, including ad hoc investment support, regulatory change and product launches. Should have 0-5 years of relevant experience. A JD or equivalent. Substantive experience with derivatives trading agreements. Excellent attention to detail, organization and ability to successfully manage several ongoing assignments. Ability to work independently and proactively to multi-task and demonstrate a strong sense of urgency. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, writing and problem-solving skills. Strong collaboration skills and dedicated team player are essential. Knowledge of federal securities and derivatives laws and the rules thereunder is a plus.
