Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its General Litigation Division in Manhattan, NY. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 6 years of experience in defending general liability and property claims, with a preference for those familiar with Labor Law. This role requires strong organizational, writing, and analytical skills, and offers a hybrid work environment.

Duties

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including discovery.
• Ensure meticulous compliance with billing and reporting guidelines.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.
• Conduct complex legal research and discovery.
• Draft discovery demands, responses, motions, and legal memoranda.

Requirements

• 2-6 years of experience as an Attorney in NY, preferably in a defense firm.
• Strong court knowledge and case management skills.
• Experience drafting briefs and pleadings, and taking depositions.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Westlaw and/or Lexis.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in New York.
