A law firm seeks a Mid-Level Intellectual Property Litigation Associate in Boston, MA. The role involves managing key phases of patent litigation with minimal supervision, including trial preparation, technical analysis, and discovery management.

Duties

• Prepare and try patent matters, including participation in Markman hearings.
• Conduct technical analysis of products and patents.
• Manage discovery preparation and work with experts.
• Conduct and defend depositions, draft pleadings and motions.
• Delegate tasks to junior attorneys and paralegals, ensuring clear communication.
• Oversee and review work product of junior associates.

Requirements

• Admitted to or eligible for admission to the Massachusetts Bar.
• Three years of experience as an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate.
• Trial experience before ITC, US Federal District Court, or Patent Trial and Appeals Board.
• Experience conducting research, drafting pleadings, and managing discovery.
• Experience preparing deposition outlines and working with experts.
• Experience in Markman hearings and analyzing expert reports.
• Experience developing patent infringement and non-infringement theories.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to or eligible for admission to the Massachusetts Bar.

Skills

• Strong analytical and technical skills in patent matters.
• Excellent communication and delegation abilities.
• Proficient in drafting complex legal documents.
