Junior to Mid-Level Structured Finance Associate

Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Associate to join its Structured Finance practice. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in derivatives and structured finance, including familiarity with ISDA documentation and Dodd-Frank regulatory protocols. This is a hybrid role open to several major U.S. markets, offering a dynamic work environment, high-level transactional exposure, and collaboration with top-tier legal professionals.

Location:

• Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

• Draft and negotiate ISDA Master Agreements, including Schedules, Credit Support Annexes, Confirmations, and related documents

• Provide legal counsel on over-the-counter derivatives and ISDA regulatory protocols (e.g., Dodd-Frank)

• Participate in structuring, reviewing, and supporting complex structured finance transactions

• Collaborate with clients, attorneys, and counterparties on deal execution and compliance

• Deliver responsive, high-quality work while managing multiple priorities

• Contribute to internal discussions, team meetings, and ongoing legal strategy development

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience in derivatives and structured finance

• Proficiency in drafting and negotiating documentation under the ISDA framework

• Familiarity with Dodd-Frank and related ISDA regulatory protocols

• Prior experience at an Am Law 100 (or similarly ranked) law firm is preferred

• Ability to thrive under pressure and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in one of the relevant jurisdictions (NY, IL, CA, or TX)

• In good standing with the applicable State Bar
