Job Overview: A law firm in Columbia, SC, is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience, focusing on bodily injury defense, construction, and other insurance defense matters.

Duties:

• Handle bodily injury defense, construction, and other insurance defense matters.
• Manage civil cases through trial, including taking depositions, oral argument, and hearing attendance.
• Negotiate settlements and report to clients.
• Provide legal advice and representation to clients in insurance defense matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in insurance defense.
• Prior experience in insurance defense is preferred.
• Highly proficient in handling civil cases through trial.
• Motivated, self-starters need only apply.
• Currently licensed to practice law in SC, additional licensure in other States is a plus.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the South Carolina State Bar.
• Additional licensure in other States is a plus.
