ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Profile

Boutique Florida law firm with office located in Barotw, Florida seeking an experienced attorney to serve as litigation support and backup counsel for a busy practice focused primarily on family law, with some criminal defense and estate planning matters.  We practice in Polk, Highland, Hillsborough and Osceola counties.

This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys legal writing, motion practice, and courtroom appearances but does not necessarily want to manage a full caseload immediately.

Responsibilities

• Draft motions, memoranda, pleadings, and legal correspondence

• Assist with case strategy and litigation preparation

• Attend hearings, mediations, and occasional court appearances as needed

• Provide litigation support in primarily family law matters (divorce, modification, enforcement, etc.)

• Assist with criminal defense and estate planning matters as needed

• Potential to transition into managing litigation matters independently over time

Qualifications

• Licensed member of The Florida Bar in good standing

• Strong legal writing and research skills

• Courtroom experience preferred

• Experience with family law litigation strongly preferred

• Ability to work independently and step into hearings when needed
