Profile

Coordinates and conducts training sessions, including new hire, on the use of Firm-supported hardware and software
Become subject matter expert on core applications as well as trend and recommend associated upgrade paths
Work with the technicians to maintain training room equipment including PC configuration and functionality
Performs training and delivers curriculum with agreed upon agenda
Assists in the creation and ongoing updates to all training material
Acts as a strong advocate regarding new technology training at the firm and leads training and development initiatives when assigned
Contributes and/or recommends the development of training programs for new and updated software rollouts to meet the needs of the individual practice areas. Develops training programs to enhance a practice area's ability to utilize technology resources and provide a competitive advantage for the firm
Participates in the development and coordination of teaching aids such as outlines, handouts, instructions, tip sheets, and other reference material
Acts independently to determine when training deficiencies require new training programs
Identifies technology skill gaps of practice areas or specific users by analyzing incoming Practice Support Projects and individual user training requests in order to develop training programs for the firm
Makes recommendations to Trainers, Supervisors, and HR regarding training programs while creating methods for proper instruction
Participates in the evaluation, testing, and quality assurance of new software applications and updates from a training and practice area perspective
Translates technology related business specifications into user documentation.
Participates in the design and implementation of technology-based practices to support client needs
Assists in the implementation of best practices related to workflow, case management document management and practice technology
Researches and recommends legal technology for specific practice areas
Coordinates with other areas/departments where overlap exists to develop efficient procedures/communications to streamline processes and satisfy practice area needs
Supports adherence to firm standards and use of firm-supported hardware and software
Studies existing products, new products, and technologies to obtain an advanced level of knowledge
Provides escalated coverage of the Help Desk and backup support to other team members as necessary
Participates in testing of various applications to ensure both compatibility and integrity of upgrades and patches being deployed
Travels as needed to various offices to participate in either training or new project initiatives
Assists Training Manager to develop and design new training programs and offerings, and to evaluate emerging training technologies

Qualifications

High School Graduate or General Education Degree required
Minimum of 5 years of related duties and responsibilities; prior law firm background preferred
Expert level or the ability to readily achieve expert level in support of Microsoft products and core applications within out environment. This includes having an expert understanding of implemented application integration within the Microsoft environment
Ability to communicate and document comprehensive technical issues for a non-technical audience in a professional manner
