Insurance Defense Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Cedar Grove is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney with at least 3 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling diverse caseloads for insurance carriers, including conducting fact and expert witness depositions. New Jersey and New York Bar admission is required, along with excellent writing and communication skills. Judicial clerkship experience is preferred.

Duties:

• Handle a diverse caseload for insurance carriers
• Conduct fact and expert witness depositions
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Provide timely and accurate legal advice to clients
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
• Collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance adjusters
• Manage discovery processes, including document production and e-discovery
• Develop case strategies and provide litigation support to senior attorneys
• Maintain organized case files and documentation

Requirements:

• Admission to the New Jersey and New York Bar
• 3+ years of experience in insurance defense practice
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Judicial clerkship experience preferred

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

New Jersey and New York Bar admission
