Duties

• Handle workers' compensation and liability insurance defense matters
• Manage litigation files and oversee cases through various stages of the legal process
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related documents
• Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders
• Participate in hearings, depositions, and other litigation proceedings
• Maintain accurate billing records and meet billable hour requirements
• Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies and ensure effective representation

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of legal experience in civil litigation
• Experience in workers' compensation or liability defense matters preferred
• Experience in maintaining and recording billable hours
• Ability to manage litigation responsibilities and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues

Education and Certifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the Maryland State Bar
• Admission to the District of Columbia Bar is considered beneficial
