Duties

• Handle family law matters including divorce, separation, custody, visitation, and support
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and related legal documents
• Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, mediations, and conferences
• Manage cases from intake through resolution, including negotiations and trials
• Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and case strategy
• Conduct legal research and prepare case analyses
• Collaborate with experts and external professionals as needed

Requirements

• 5 years of experience practicing family law
• Ability to independently manage a full family law caseload
• Experience appearing in court and negotiating settlements
• Strong judgment when handling sensitive and confidential matters

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in New York (in good standing)
